Beautiful Thing

'Beautiful Thing is part of a growing trend in South Asian nonfiction. Faleiro believes it is a powerful medium and finds it surprising that books about the underclass don't constitute a larger share of the genre. "We seem to think that the conditions that 55 percent of the population lives in isn't relevant to where we are going."'
Sonia in conversation with Reuters UK.

‘I wanted to write something that represented who I was as a person and what I stood for, and I wanted to write about the people who could most do with their story being told.’ Sonia talks to Supriya Nair about India’s ‘New True Stories.’
